Admissions

We welcome your interest in The West Hill School and look forward to hearing from you. The admission procedure begins with a scheduled parent interview and tour of the school. A completed application form must be submitted, accompanied by a non-refundable fee. As part of the application process, arrangements may be made for a “child visit” to the school. These visits generally begin in January, when we know what spaces are available. Acceptance to West Hill is determined by the child visit, the proper distribution of boys and girls in the class and the availability of space in the appropriate group, after having taken siblings into consideration. Group placement is ultimately determined by the school.

Admission Process Checklist

  1. Contact the School to receive age appropriate information in the mail.
  2. Call us to arrange an appointment for a parent visit and tour. These visits will begin in October.
  3. Applications for admission are accepted beginning July 1 of, not the upcoming, but, the following school year.
  4. The number of available positions in each group will determine the number of children asked to visit. Child visits may be scheduled beginning January.
  5. Notification about enrollment decisions will begin in February.
